Currently, I'm based in Berlin. This is an ode to the beautiful cities I lived in and how I became obsessed with cities whose names begin with a “b” …

2020: The corona virus forced us to relocate to Germany earlier than planned. We returned to our beloved Berlin.

I co-founded SIIAM GmbH, working on B.Grimm's branding, innovation, digital transformation projects, and do cyber security. In addition, SIIAM seeks new business in Europe.

2015-2020

Bangkok

2015: Relocated to Bangkok. Clients, projects, teams, cultures, and challenges became more international.
My Thai language skills, on the other hand, remained pitiful.
I considered myself fortunate to be able to work in such an interesting, inspiring, rapidly growing, and challenging environment.
As a member of the digital transformation team (in an Asian setting), I gained valuable experience in corporate culture, strategy, communication, cross-functional team structuring, and psychology.
Strengthening the brand core of "Doing business with compassion" broadened my horizons in terms of compassion, brand strategy, employer branding, and (corporate) culture.

2015

Boston

2015: Life and a new business took me to beautiful Boston, Massachusetts. I had a fantastic time at the Harvard i-lab with the agile Getmii team. I was fortunate to experience a true winter with snow 3 meters high.

Focus: Branding, Mobile App, UI/UX.

2012: Moved to inspiring Berlin and established kaven.design in Prenzlauer Berg. This bold and bright city and its inhabitants completely stole my heart.
(Obviously, this was the start of my fascination with cities starting with the letter “b”.)

Since 2014, my radius has expanded even further with jobs for companies based in South East Asia, primarily Bangkok, Thailand, and a US company, as well as inspiring national projects such as probono berlin, GKK Ingenieurgesellschaft für Hochbau mbH, and MOR Design.

Hamburg

2007: Founded my own design firm, bbdf.k GmbH – butter bei die fische.kommunikation, located at Dockland, Elbe, focusing on corporate design for the financial, cultural and interior design industries for both national and international clients, including:
RTL Nord, Fujitsu Siemens, elbfonds GmbH, Gärtner Internationale Möbel, Levy Gallery, Arens Jäderberg, Kayenburg, and others.

2003-2006: Worked as a freelance designer for companies like:
Kabel New Media, Tomorrow Focus AG, Verlagsgruppe Milchstraße, Kirchhoff Consult AG. cellular GmbH, Deutsche Telekom, VW AG, and others.

2003: M.A. Communication Design, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Focus: Digital Design.

1996: Banking clerk, Deutsche Bank AG, Hamburg.
